Hey all, this week has been nothing but fun up here in the mountains! We can't believe the two week programs are already coming to a close. Here are some pictures from earlier this week. My goal is to collect pictures from the staff this weekend and upload some more of each unit from the past week! Sorry for the delay in posting this week, I have been whirling around the camp at a million miles an hour and haven't had any time to sit down at my computer and add photos. A catch up collection of photos is on its way this weekend for sure!

Week two in under way, and we have quite the adventurous group of campers this time around! We started off the week strong with a beautiful hike with the girls of "Run, Shoot, Ride" on Thumb Butte. I am working on getting some more pictures of the rest of the units this afternoon and will post them as soon as I can! I hope you all are having a great week, because I sure know we are!

It was quite the hike, but we finally made it to the top! The view of Prescott was amazing!

A simple sandwich is never quite as good as after a long hike to the top!

We had the chance to learn about all sorts of plants and animals on our hike thanks to the great trail signs provided.

Hey all!

I hope you are all having a great week, I know we certainly are here at Maripai. Yesterday was packed with hikes, science scavenger hunts, canoeing, trading post visits, and so much more.

I'm working on getting pictures from our alien hunt uploaded, but until then here are some great photos of the girls from yesterday's adventures!

The girls in Frontier took it upon themselves to style Doodle's hair. They certainly used their resources wisely!

Frontier paused their hair braiding party so I could take a photo, hopefully next time I can go and get my hair done too!

Ground lessons are just as important as riding. It's always great to learn more about horses!

Maverick, the horse (named after our riding director), is new to camp this year, but certainly knows her way around the arena.

Maverick, the riding director, helped the girls on Greenwood in their second lesson.

Hilltop played "create a game, play a game". They split into groups and created their own games on the field. Then they had the chance to teach the rest of the unit how to play!

Hey All!

Camp has officially begun and we are having an amazing time! Today, the units did a variety of activities such as; arts and crafts, sports and games, horseback riding, archery, and many others. Below are a few snap shots of each unit during some of their activities!

The staff is so excited to finally have campers here, filling the forest with lots of laughter and singing. Even though camp has just begun, we have already accomplished so much! It’s been a long day of fun in the sun and now we are headed to dinner. Later tonight we are hosting an alien hunt for the girls, check back tomorrow for pictures of the event!

Creekside even had a chance to fly their homemade kites on the field today, it was just windy enough to take them to the sky!

Frontier making "Galaxies in a Jar" with arts and crafts instructor, Wren. Today they learned a bit more about space, and created their own piece of space to take with them through this fun and simple craft.

While the others were riding, half of Greenwood learned a bit more about horses with riding instructor, Fox!

Greenwood had their first riding lesson of the week today. They're off to a good start!

Some lucky riders in Greenwood had the chance to ride in our BRAND NEW covered arena today.

Hilltop explored our new labyrinth today, which was built this year by a council troop! This activity is a great way for the girls to relax after a crazy day of wild activities and reflect on their camp experiences.

Pinetree had a great time playing Flipper Ball today, which is a softball with a camp twist!
